So, some of you may know that I like to explore abandoned buildings. That’s relevant to this story. But anyway, a while ago, I was talking to this girl on Tinder. She was into that as well, and I happened to notice a pair of Miatas in her Instagram feed. I asked about them and found out that they belong to her and her boyfriend. (Why was she on Tinder, then? But anyway...) She told me that hers is automatic and her boyfriend is the one who’s really into them. I told her to hold onto him, because that’s fucking awesome. Then I went to bed, and woke up the next day, and said good morning, and never got a reply again. Shame, because I could easily see the two of them becoming great friends of mine.
Fast forward a month or so to yesterday. I’m meeting some guy from an urban exploration forum because he’s new to the site and I’m the only other member in his hometown. He pulls up to our meeting spot.... driving the other Miata from this girl’s picture. So holy shit.

I might, but I don’t want to cause drama. I’d rather wait until I meet her in person, partly because it might be someone else by now, but also just to see if she mentions that first.

DO NOT TELL HIM! I’ve never cheated but I’ve been everything else including the other guy. My friends joke I’m the king of Tinder as it’s the only place I meet girls (I like keeping girls separate from the rest of my life in the event things go south).

Anyways, the number of times I run into my friend’s girls on Tinder is high. I’ve tried to get involved and quickly learned, don’t get in the middle of things. Even if he’s your best friend, the second she denies it, your friendship is in jepardy. If he gets suspicious of her, you can then say you saw her on there, he will hate you for not telling him but your friendship will remain intact.

Haha, I know but I’d rather give the full warning. I know enough people that have made the mistakes I made in the past. Tinder is a double edged sword.

The plus side is you can find people who have zero ties to any of your life. If the relationship ends - be it 1 night, 1 week, 1 month or several months there’s no effect on your life.
